The Quality Assurance Officer is based within the Quality and Governance team working alongside the Academic Registry, Student Services and Academic colleagues. This team is responsible for the development and implementation of the college's centrally managed academic quality assurance and enhancement systems as aligned to Partner University's academic regulations and the sector regulator's conditions of registration. Activity includes maintenance and facilitation of the academic calendar, programme and module monitoring and evaluation, review and enhancement of QA documentation including Policies and Processes.
The Quality Assurance Officer is central to the maintenance of these activities, maintaining accurate records, coordinating relevant events, ensuring programme monitoring reports are completed in a detailed and timely fashion, and guidance to colleagues relating to QA and enhancement mechanisms, amongst others.
You will be expected to collaborate and interact with Academic Managers, Year Leads, Module Leaders, Student Services Team and the wider academic registry team to provide an efficient and responsive service to the college. Demonstrable liaison and organisational skills are a priority to assist with processes across the college to provide seamless service delivery. You will be expected to act fairly, with integrity, respect and purpose. You will also be expected to contribute to the continual improvement of processes by identifying areas for improvement; by actively contributing to problem-solving activities and by promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities
? Policy review, improvement, editing and implementation
? Servicing of QA panels and meetings
? Liaison with University partner colleagues, and internal colleagues
? Monitoring of QA and Enhancement processes and reports, eg
o organisation and servicing of assessment boards,
o production of external examiner sample packs
o quality management tasks within each programme
? Contribution to annual monitoring reports
? Contribution to programme development
? Monitor programme compliance requirements e.g. assessment monitoring and managing moderation deadlines, assessment checkpoints, extenuating circumstance requests and academic misconduct cases.
? Ensure programme data management and monitoring reports are up to date and published in line with the academic calendar.
? Provide support to the registry team to resolve queries during relevant periods through direction to relevant institutional, regulatory and procedural guidance as appropriate
? To contribute to, or lead on, area-specific projects as relevant to environmental factors

Skills and Experience
Essential
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
? Knowledge of the national Higher Education regulation and policy environment and issues pertinent to Quality Assurance, Enhancement and Regulatory Compliance
