Quality Assurance Officer

to join our team in Leominster.

The Role:

This key role supports the business by maintaining documentation, facilitating audits, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will help uphold the high quality of our products and processes, contributing directly to our reputation and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Management

Maintain and update quality assurance documentation (e.g., first-off procedures, work instructions). Ensure all QA documents are properly controlled and accessible to authorised personnel.

Quality Control

Monitor and inspect manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality. Compile and analyse quality data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Compliance and Auditing

Support internal and external audits from preparation through to follow-up. Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.

Process Improvement

Collaborate with teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions. Participate in root cause analysis to address quality concerns.

Training and Support

Assist the Head of Production in training staff on quality procedures. Provide QA-related support to colleagues across departments.

Reporting

Produce regular reports on quality metrics, audit results, and corrective actions. Present findings and recommendations to management.

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Exceptional attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or quality management systems. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other quality standards.

27,000 - 28,000 per year
