We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team and help maintain our standards of excellence.

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality and safety of our food products throughout the manufacturing process. You will work closely with production teams to implement quality control procedures, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Departmental Purpose:
To manage and lead the Technical and Quality for the business.
To ensure the appropriate procedures and processes are in place, documented and in practice to enable the business to meet all relevant UK/EU food safety legislation and quality standards.
To ensure the quality manual, HACCP system is maintained, administered, and kept up to date.
Ensure business compliance v BRC requirements, and to meet all customer specific requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor all lines in your section for quality and make sure that the right dates and products are on the correct labels.
Monitor products and ingredients to ensure that they are in date and within temperature.
Monitor all line leaders to ensure that they are completing documentation in real time and all the information is correct.
Monitor hygiene procedures in all departments to ensure that they are being adhered to, includes monitor line cleaning and changing of PPE after each run.
Ensure production lines have correct version of specifications.
Perform ATP and Gluten testing when required.
Perform and record weekly P.P.E, Jewellery and plaster checks.
Complete daily site temperatures when required.
Carry out monthly GMP, Glass & Hard Plastic and equipment calibrations to schedule.
Collect samples and environmental swabs/ raw ingredients for weekly micro.
Investigate customer complaints ensuring they are closed out in a timely manner.
Print paperwork for all departments carry out checks on completed paperwork daily and file in correct place. Including Logit Checks.
Complete all site traceability tests and mass balance tests both to schedules provided and in audits where required.
Take full responsibility of the site supplier and service suppliers files ensuring all specifications, records and any certification is kept up to date.
Raise and close out any non-conformances ensuring all relevant information is complete.
Handle the sites concessions and concession log.
On product launches work alongside NPD team to ensure production have the correct specifications needed. Regularly review these for changes to ingredients ect.
Create and update site work instructions where needed.
Regular personal Development reviews will take place to maintain standards of work.
You must be able to cover any days to ensure production efficiency, be this to cover holidays, absence, and sickness within reason.
You must follow all rules and procedures which have been put in place by your managers.
