Role:

Quality Assurance Technician

Role Purpose:

As Quality Assurance (QA) Technician you will be responsible for assisting the site to meet its quality assurance and regulatory compliance requirements, ensuring food safety, product quality, and process adherence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:



In a factory environment, monitoring compliance with agreed specifications & standards Producing technical specifications Perform calibration & maintenance of laboratory equipment and scales Responsibility for Near-Infrared (NIR) Testing Complete regular swabbing - environmental, allergens, and listeria etc. As well as routine visual inspections Completion of good in checks - sample testing, chasing, & reviewing COA'S, packaging checks, and booking in Inspection of raw materials; assisting in investigating non-conformance & complaints Accurate record keeping Perform regular traceability exercises Proactively embed a Food Safety & Quality culture across the business Product sampling Instigating corrective actions to drive improvements, reducing waste and losses Identify risks & priorities relating to Food Safety, Quality, Hygiene, & procedural compliance. Support all site KPI's including Food Safety Standards, Health & Safety and site Hygiene standards Completing & assisting with internal audits & critical control point checks Completing scheduled daily cleaning tasks Supporting with production hygiene standards & maintenance Carry out additional duties as advised by Quality Manager

Role Requirements:



1 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance role (industry-specific experience desirable). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills. Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of quality systems, standards, tools and processes. Able to work to tight deadlines. PC Literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience of utilising measurement tools, and testing equipment. Experience in working towards BRC standards A good working knowledge of health and safety and security requirements Experience with writing and enforcing quality procedures. Minimum of 1 year within a similar role (ideally in a food environment)

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
