Quality Assurance Worker
to help us maintain high standards and continuous improvement in line with Ofsted expectations and best practices in residential childcare.
Job Purpose:
To support the management team by auditing and reviewing systems, documentation, and practices within the home. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with legislation, internal policies, and regulatory standards while promoting a culture of reflection and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and review records, care plans, and documentation for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
Identify areas for improvement and support the development of action plans.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of children's home regulations, safeguarding, and best practice.
Provide feedback and guidance to staff and managers to support continuous improvement.
Carry out file audits and compliance checks in line with the Quality Assurance Framework.
Assist with preparing for Ofsted inspections and responding to inspection outcomes.
Report findings clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
Essential Requirements:
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and digital care systems.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
A good understanding of safeguarding, children's home regulations (such as The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015), and quality assurance processes.
Previous experience in a residential childcare or social care setting.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats.
A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 or above in Residential Childcare, Health and Social Care, or a related field.
Knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks.
Experience conducting audits or contributing to quality assurance systems.
