Role Purpose
The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all operations consistently meet
food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
. The role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with
BRCGS Food Safety Standards and HACCP principles
, supporting day-to-day site activities through inspections, audits, testing, and documentation. Working closely with Production and Warehouse teams, the role helps uphold high standards of hygiene, traceability, and overall product integrity.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Maintain daily compliance with
BRCGS Food Safety Standards
.
Work collaboratively with Production and other departments to ensure quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
Carry out
goods-in inspections
, raw material checks, and finished product / goods-out verification.
Ensure full adherence to
HACCP principles
and all food safety procedures.
Conduct
internal audits
in line with the site audit schedule and report findings clearly.
Perform sampling, testing, and monitoring of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Audit and verify
Critical Control Points (CCPs)
to ensure ongoing compliance.
Monitor finished product quality against agreed quality specifications.
Support hygiene standards, housekeeping, allergen controls, and traceability systems across the site.
Maintain accurate QA documentation, records, and trackers.
Provide support during
third-party audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections
.

Experience & Qualifications
Level 2 or Level 3
Food Safety qualification
(or equivalent).
HACCP training or certification
desirable.
Internal Auditor training or experience
preferred.
Previous experience within a
food manufacturing or FMCG environment
is essential.
Competent using
Microsoft Office
and QA systems.
Knowledge of allergen management, traceability, and CCP monitoring is advantageous.
