Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Auditor (QA) to join our food production site, Bernard Matthews Derby. We require 1 person for 3 on 3 off 6am - 6pm

What will I be doing?

Ensure all paperwork is accurate and completed on time

Ensuring GMP standards within manufacturing areas are upheld

Life checks on factory components

Ensure the sign of positive release of prepared components prior to use in production

Ensure all relevant internal audits are complete i.e. glass checks, hygiene swabbing, start ups etc.

Ensure quality issues are communicated at the correct forum to appropriate parties

Maintain a safe workplace / environment in line with company policy and rules.

Through leadership and example promote and develop standards of safety.

Maintain and ensure all team members are aware of their responsibility for quality.

To promote a safety culture within the department/factory ensuring all H&S requirements are met

Involvement in ad hoc projects

Comply with Food Safety Legislation

Ensure the proper action is taken in the case of CCP failures

What are we looking for?

An individual who has the ability to complete their tasks accurately and has good organisational and time management skills. Willingness to adapt to new processes/techniques in this ever challenging business. Respects and GMP and food safety principles and standards. Must be a cross functional team player.

Experience of the food industry (ideal) Understanding of HACCP Basic Food Hygiene Experience of auditing (ideal) IT Skills Good written and communication skills Flexibility
