Quality Control Technician

Rocal Group are seeking a proactive Quality Control Technician to join the team within our Endurance Doors brand.

In this role, you will play a key part in upholding the exceptional standards our customers expect, using your keen eye for detail to ensure our premium composite door products meet meticulous compliance and quality standards. Your work will help us maintain our reputation as a trusted, industry-leading manufacturer.

We operate a 9-day fortnight worked on a rotating shift pattern between 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-12:00am.

Key Responsibilities

Record & distribute daily scrap, work with department team leaders to investigate anomalies & spikes in scrap Complete PDI checks on finished doors Complete random daily process inspections including: Glue weight check Pull Tests Weld Break test Torque checks Supercut length checks DGU argon % test Lock, letterplate & handle feature checks Conduct daily process audit to ensure process documentation is being followed, and identify opportunities to improve processes and training Train and coach other members of the production team on quality standards and to complete PDI checks, ensure alignment through Rack audits Provide Quality updates (internal scrap, process audits, customer complaints) at start of shift and Team leader meetings Create Quality alerts and deliver toolbox talk to the production teams Support investigation & problem solving on quality issues through additional data collection etc. Work with supplier quality, technical, manufacturing engineering & quality engineering to improve the overall product quality

What You Bring

ISO9001 Auditing experience PC literacy with experience of Microsoft Office Suite Lean awareness Knowledge of composite door manufacturing process would be beneficial Self-motivated attitude with drive and initiative Credibility, with a professional and respected personality Integrity, openness, fairness and honesty A firm but friendly attitude and proactive can do approach Excellent attention to detail & inquisitive by nature

Salary, Benefits, and Hours

Starting pay rate of 13.54 with the opportunity to grow your earnings as you learn 40 hours per week, worked over a 9-day fortnight - a rotating weekly pattern of 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-12:00am. On weeks working the later shift, the week is worked Monday-Thursday with Fridays off.
