Job Description

Responsibility for overseeing and administering a locations fleet while ensuring a high standard of vehicle condition and preparation, and to provide administrative support to the branch location and fleet department at all times.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, as a Quality Control operative (QC) it is essential to ensure that the fleet is maintained to a safe, legal and roadworthy standard in order for the branch team to maximise utilisation. The QC will be responsible for reporting of and recording of damage and processing for relevant customer recharges. You will also ensure the preparation of vehicles is always consistent and to the same exacting standard. Management of cleaning materials stock levels to maintain vehicle preparation. Manage downtime for branch stock vehicles. This is a critical role to the efficiency of the location. To make sure the garage is organised and vehicles parked in the correct places & the clean and ready line is in order.

Receive new vehicles into branch location and process in a timely manner, to be placed on fleet within 24 hours.

Take VOR vehicles, when needed, to local garages.

Liaise with valet team and rental to ensure correct vehicles are being cleaned for the next 24 hours.

Receive vehicles from AMT drivers and customers returning to branch from rental. Review paperwork to ensure complete and consistent and confirm any fresh damage.

Make sure defleet pictures are taken after clean.

EV vehicles are charged and started every 48 hours to ensure no dead batteries

Validate vehicles as being ready for rent after pre-rent preparation and sign off accordingly.

Carry out detailed quality control check to confirm vehicle is in a safe, legal and roadworthy condition, including identifying any service or routine maintenance work required and notify branch as required.

Organise branch location indoor & outdoor parking areas to ensure sufficient space for safe storing of vehicles.

Ensure all key tags are correctly labelled

Drive carefully & considerably at all times.

Conduct all duties in line with company policy and procedures.

Any other duties as requested by branch manager.
