We are looking fo
r Quality Engineers
to join our team in Portsmouth to support
aerospace manufacturing projects
, focusing on non-conformance management and adherence to aerospace quality standards. You'll work closely with production, design and supply chain teams to ensure products meet strict industry requirements.
Location: Portsmouth
On Site: Fully onsite
Clearance: Not required
Experience Level: Mid Level
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate, manage and close
non-conformances
within manufacturing.
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Ensure compliance to aerospace standards including
AS9100.
Review
manufacturing processes
and propose improvements.
Support
audits, inspections and documentation control.
Liaise with production, design and suppliers to maintain high-quality output.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Experience working in
aerospace manufacturing
.
Strong background in non-conformance management.
Knowledge of
AS9100
or similar aerospace standards.
Ability to interpret drawings and engineering documentation.
Understanding of
FAIRs, RCCA
methods and quality tools is beneficial.
Required Qualifications:
A
Bachelor's
or
Master's degree
in
Engineering
, or
equivalent
military experience
.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with supplier quality management
, including supplier NCRs and corrective action follow?up.
such as QMS platforms, NCR systems, or audit software.
Knowledge of measurement systems
(GD&T, metrology, inspection techniques).
Ability to influence stakeholders
and drive quality culture across multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication skills
for presenting findings, leading investigations, and supporting audits.
