Job Summary



The role of Quality Engineer will play a key role in supporting the business with internal and customer quality across multi-site locations. The position will report to the Head of QHSE, and partner with key business stakeholders in manufacturing, project and engineering teams across the Scorpion Group. The Quality Engineer will be focused on delivering high-quality products and processes within the Automotive and aftermarket security and telematics sectors.

Key Responsibilities



Quality Culture

: developing a culture centred around quality across the business, supporting best practice, consistently adhering to established standards and expectations and addressing poor practices.

Quality Management System

: Ensuring adherence to the quality management system (QMS), and responsibility to ensure that the requirements are communicated effectively and complied with diligently.

Quality Leadership

: Professional representation of the Company quality philosophy is essential at all times.

Analysis and Reporting

: Conduct thorough analyses and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Root Cause Analysis

: initiate and facilitate root cause analysis and remedial actions for both internal and customer-related issues. Additionally, monitoring and coordinating actions within the production area are necessary to ensure effective resolution.

Quality Management System Auditing

: Regular process audits are required to ensure control and compliance in the manufacturing environment. Encouragement of adherence to all production and process data is vital, ensuring accuracy and traceability across all operations.

Customer Management

: Engaging with customer representatives on New Product Introductions (NPI) and addressing quality concerns, including investigating non-conformance incidents and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

External Audit Compliance and Documentation

: Support with external audits and management of auditor interactions.

New Product Introduction

: Actively supporting the Engineering team across all NPI programs in line with the Quality Engineer's customer focus.

Skills and Experience



5 years' experience in a similar role at Tier 1 or above. Experience of working within an AITF 16949 environment. Relevant experience working within a customer centric environment. Ideally within an automotive high intensity environment. Experience of Safety and Environmental Management would be an advantage Experience of managing approvals Experienced in the creation of and management of control plans and quality plans Engineering in Conformance for NPI and after RCCA Proficient in information/Data Analysis, continual improvement, process improvement and management Skilled in interpretation of Engineering / Customer definition, external standard and Inspection of final product. SOP, methods and procedures management

The Quality Engineer must have first-hand, direct hands on experience and expertise using, managing and promoting the following quality tools.
