NFF Precision are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the company's Quality Management Systems (AS9100 / ISO 14001 / NADCAP). The successful candidate will assist in ensuring product and process conformity across all departments, supporting investigations into non-conformances, conducting audits, creating customer documentation packs and being apart of a team undertaking continuous improvement activities.
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring our products meet customer, regulatory, and certification standards, and that quality is embedded throughout the organisation.
Key Duties:
Support the Quality Manager in the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (AS9100 / ISO 14001 / NADCAP).
Working with the Inspection team leader & production manager, to ensure workload prioritisation in support of on time delivery.
Assist with internal, supplier, and customer audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up of corrective actions.
Support Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) activities - including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and completion of documentation.
Assist with FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards to AS9102.
Support Supplier Quality Assurance activities, including supplier audits, performance monitoring, and data reporting.
Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement projects and quality initiatives across production and operations.
Assist with training and mentoring of inspection and production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Provide day-to-day quality support to production, engineering, and operations teams.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Technician role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 14001 and NADCAP.
Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with quality management systems or databases.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively within a small team and across departments.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience of NADCAP Audits
understanding of technical welding qualifications.
A background and basic knowledge of Fabrication, Welding and CNC Machining processes.
