Ledwood are looking to recruit an experienced

Quality Engineering

to join our team at

Hinkley Point C,

through until 2027






The Role




The primary responsibility is to implement and oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with company and client requirements.



Your new position will involve:




Perform inspections, surveillance, and verification activities across the assigned work scope in compliance with company, client and nuclear codes and standards. Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control programs specific to nuclear construction activities Communicate and train project personnel on QMS requirements including Nuclear Safety Culture. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as ONR (Office for Nuclear Regulation) and IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality records, weld documentation, and supplier certifications Conduct root cause analyses and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Actions Liaise with the client & NNB quality teams during audits, witness points, and hold points Ensure documentation traceability for lifetime quality records in compliance with NNB (Nuclear New Build) standards Interface with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to monitor and verify quality processes ensuring they are fit for purpose. Monitor and measure the efficiency of the QMS and ensuring its improvement through the project lifecycle. Collect, Analise and Report quality data to provide insights to support decision making process. Promote continuous improvement in quality culture and nuclear safety culture principles across the site

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:




Previous expereince as a Quality Engineer Qualifications required One of the following: + Recognised Engineering Qualification (ONC / BTEC / C&G)
+ JB15A / A Associate Diploma of Engineering and Advanced Certificate in Engineering
+ International Welding Engineer Certificate Issued by the Institute of Welding
+ ONC/HNC/HND/C&G/Recognised Apprenticeship in relevant discipline
+ CCNSG safety passport OR HS&E MAPS
Be proficient in Microsoft applications

Project Specifics





The position will be based onsite, starting ASAP through until mid 2027.This role will report into the Project QA Manager and sits within the Quality Department overseen by the Companies QA Manager.


Working Hours:

10 hours per day on a 10 day on 4 day off rotation (Working hours may change to suit the needs of the project).


Duration:

ASAP through until 2027


Rate of Pay:

Depending on experience, this will be discussed with each applicant


Allowances:

Accomodation Allowance is payable per night worked for any candidates that live over 40 miles from site. Travel Time and Rail Fare payment is also payable once per month during the designated site long weekend. (This allowance is only available on a PAYE basis)





Must be eligible to work in the U.K and subject to acceptance/ approval of the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) Application and DBS Security Clearance (Disclosure & Barring Service Check).
