We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our team at Lincat!


You will be responsible for supporting the Quality Manager in improving product, process, and supplier quality through data-driven problem solving, defect prevention, and the application of quality engineering principles. Ensure that all manufacturing, inspection, and supplier activities meet Lincat's standards for safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction; directly contributing to business quality KPIs.


This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.


Key Areas of Responsibility


Process & Product Improvement:
Conduct root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why), implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and support SPC and audit programmes.
Supplier Quality:
Investigate supplier non-conformances, support vendor corrective actions, maintain supplier quality data, and assist in supplier evaluations.


Warranty & Field Data:
Analyse warranty/service data to identify trends, prepare dashboards, and feed insights to Engineering and Procurement for corrective action.
Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement:


Support QMS digitalisation, ISO 9001 compliance, internal audits, and the development of supplier and internal KPIs.
Inspection & Testing:


Support goods-in and in-process inspection, validate testing methods, and ensure accurate data capture for trend analysis.


Skills Required:


Strong root cause analysis and CAPA skills.
Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
Familiarity with inspection methods, measuring equipment, and QMS/ERP systems.
Understanding of production and supplier manufacturing processes.
HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing discipline.
Experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.
Training in 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies desirable.
Awareness of ISO 9001 and audit processes.
