Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team in the UK. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality of our innovative solutions that transform operational success for our customers. Your expertise will help us maintain our high standards in the industrial computing sector.
About you
Ideally you will have previous experience as a Quality Engineer, familiar with recognised quality tools and techniques and able to act as a product and process auditor in our workshop environment, ensuring continual compliance to regulations and standards whilst identifying opportunities for improvement.
You have hands on experience with testing methodologies, a deep understanding of technical documentation and you have great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Working as a part of a small core team, you will increase customer satisfaction by ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Finally, Impulse is fast growing tech company and therefore you will have ideally previously worked with technology or have a keen interest in the tech world.
Qualification and Experience
Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role within a production environment
Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO9001:2015
Internal Auditor qualification or experience
Product Inspection
Process Conformance evaluations
Experience in creating standards, specifications and instructions.
In-depth understanding of technical documentation
Familiarity with statistical analysis would be advantageous.
Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities (8D, Ishikawa)
Ability to work effectively in a core small team and across all departments and levels of the business.
Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus.
BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field would be advantageous, but not essential.
Working knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 would be advantageous.
The Role
Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular audits to measure conformance
In-Process and End of Line Product Inspection
Support the Workshop and Technical Support teams in our Right First Time (RFT) drive and Continual Improvement
Audit our Management Systems based on ISO 9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015 standards.
Support the team to create Build Specifications, Standards and Best practice.
Update our QMS records (incidents, fixes and improvements)
Identify and recommend areas for continuous improvement across the Organisation with the aim of Improving Internal and External Customer Satisfaction
Prepare reports and solutions on Internal and External and corrective actions.
Maintain and improve our current quality documentation.
Support Business, Quality and Operational OKRs.
Coordinate with external auditors and organisations to ensure regulatory compliance and customer approvals.
Deputise for QHSE & CI Manager as and when required.
Issue and Deliver Quality and Safety Alerts, Toolbox talks as and when required.
