Job Description

Satys Air Livery (UK) Ltd is an established aircraft refinishing company with operations in Norwich, Southend, Cambridge, and Bratislava.

The role of the Quality Engineer, is to support the organisation, under direction of the Operations Director, in ensuring all quality matters are dealt with quickly, efficiently, and in line with customer requirements & industry best practice. Including the maintenance of the company's Quality Management System. The role is key in ensuring the organisation's pillar of 'Quality Always' is promoted and maintained.

In addition, the postholder will play a key role in ensuring the organisation's pillar of 'Green Forever' is promoted, with responsibility for maintaining the Environmental Management System.

This role would be ideal for a candidate who already possess experience with ISO Management Systems, but who is also looking to expand their skillset and knowledge in Environmental compliance

Responsibilities:



To carry out internal quality audits (ISO 9001 / EN 9100) to the agreed plan, Including the education and follow up to other departments following NCRs. Facilitate customer, 3rd party and certification body audits. Investigate and resolve any customer warranty claims & investigations, including identification of root causes and implementation of corrective and preventive action. Responsible for updating site specific quality manuals, registers, procedures, and other documentation within the company's integrated management system. Maintain records of non-conformances and their closure. Responsible for continuous improvement and innovation, managing entries into the group PIII planner Responsible for checking production documentation for accuracy and for evaluation of records after work is completed. Produce quality related bulletins and toolbox talks, delivering them to the Production teams where necessary. Responsible for managing environmental record keeping for waste and emissions to air Responsible for maintaining requirements relating to each sites environmental permits, including reporting to the local authority.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Essential

Role related experience in a manufacturing/production environment, or similar Demonstrable experience in auditing and surveillance of client & contractor activities Working knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, EN 9100, ISO 14001) Strong administrative capabilities and proficient in the use of Microsoft applications Confident and effective communicator Ability to prioritise own workload and initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner Full UK driving licence to support travel across sites Due to the nature of the business, there will be a requirement to travel across UK sites, as well as one in Bratislava, Slovakia, so a full driving licence and ability to travel overseas is essential
Desirable

Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 9001) Knowledge & relevant experience of aircraft refinishing, or other industrial painting industry Experience in producing and delivering training
