Job Overview

As a Full-time Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control systems, conducting audits, managing supplier quality, and leading problem-solving initiatives. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

Problem Solving: + Lead and facilitate root cause analysis for internal, supplier, and customer quality issues using methodologies such as 8D and 5 Whys
+ Develop and implement corrective and preventative actions to address quality concerns
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality problems
+ Utilise data analysis and statistical tools to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Auditing and Compliance: + Conduct internal product, process, and system audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949
+ Assist with external audits and coordinate responses to audit findings
+ Develop and maintain quality management system (QMS) documentation
+ Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards
Supplier Quality Management: + Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to manage supplier quality
+ Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality management systems
+ Review and approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation
+ Work with suppliers to resolve non-conformities and implement improvement plans
Quality Control and Assurance: + Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection methods
+ Monitor and analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement
+ Coordinate and oversee product testing and validation activities
+ Investigate customer complaints and provide timely resolutions
Continuous Improvement: + Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction
+ Lead quality improvement projects and initiatives
+ Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
+ Provide training and mentorship to team members on quality tools and techniques
Reporting and Documentation: + Prepare and present quality performance reports to management
+ Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities and metrics
+ Develop and update quality procedures, work instructions, and other documentation
+ Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality records
