Overview


We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team, the Quality Engineer is a key driver of product and process excellence at FermionX Manufacturing. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring that all PCBA products meet IPC and customer standards, while actively identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.

Working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams, the Quality Engineer supports the development of robust systems that enhance customer satisfaction, reduce defects, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Quality Control and Inspection:



Perform detailed in-process and final inspections using X-ray and AOI systems to IPC-A-610 standards, ensuring consistent product quality. Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation to support customer validation and confidence. Conduct regular ESD audits, ensuring proactive resolution of issues and adherence to best practices.

Defect Analysis and Root Cause:



Lead investigations into internal non-conformities using inspection data and AOI analytics. Apply structured root cause analysis and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues. Ensure timely and accurate completion of internal and customer non-conformance reports, with a focus on learning and improvement.

Compliance and Auditing:



Conduct rigorous internal audits aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions. Support external audits from customers and certification bodies, ensuring readiness and continuous compliance. Perform supplier quality audits and collaborate on supplier development initiatives to strengthen the supply chain.

Process and Continuous Improvement:



Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, quality risks, and improvement opportunities. Champion and implement process improvements that reduce waste, enhance yield, and improve product reliability. Collaborate cross-functionally to embed quality into every stage of production and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Calibration and Documentation:



Manage calibration schedules for all inspection and test equipment, including customer-owned assets, ensuring traceability and reliability. Maintain accurate logging of quality data, audit findings, and improvement actions to support data-driven decision-making. Contribute to the development and refinement of quality procedures, work instructions, and training materials.

Qualifications & Experience:



Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within electronics or PCBA manufacturing. Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality systems. Familiarity with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, ESD standards, and AS9100 FAIR requirements. Skilled in using AOI, X-ray, and other inspection tools for defect detection and analysis. Experienced in conducting audits and presenting findings with clarity and professionalism. Proficient in root cause analysis, CAPA, and non-conformance reporting. Competent in ERP/MRP systems and quality data tracking tools.

Desirable :



IPC and ESD certification. Knowledge of PPAP, RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and PFAS regulations. Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with quality dashboards, reporting tools, and statistical analysis.

Pay: 32,000.00-36,000.00 per year
