Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for fibre optic products and assemblies.
Perform inspections, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer specifications.
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
Review technical drawings, product specifications, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, Telcordia, ISO).
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement in processes and products.
Conduct supplier quality evaluations and incoming inspection of fibre optic components.
Prepare and maintain quality documentation, reports, and audit records.
Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a
quality engineering role
within
fibre optics, photonics, or telecommunications manufacturing
.
Strong knowledge of fibre optic components, testing methods, and quality standards.
Hands-on experience with measurement tools, optical test equipment (OTDR, power meters, interferometers, etc.), and inspection techniques.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
