As a Quality Engineer within our Imenco Future Technologies (IFT) division, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring IFT's products and services continue to exceed customer expectations. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support internal and external audits in line with industry standards and customer requirements
Supporting the NCR processes, facilitating root cause analysis and developing robust preventative and corrective actions to help maintain impressive Quality performance metrics
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in engineering, production, and supply chain to support continuous improvement initiatives
Develop, maintain, and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS), quality procedures, documentation, and training
Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality is embedded at every stage of the manufacturing process
Develop inspection processes, ensuring that incoming, in-process, and final inspections are performed effectively
Monitor, analyse, and report on key quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Monitor supplier quality performance
Required Skills
Proven experience in a quality engineering role with strong knowledge of
ISO 9001:2015
Strong knowledge of root cause analysis tools and methodologies e.g. 5 Why, 8D.
Hands-on experience with auditing (internal/external, supplier, or regulatory).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive quality culture across teams.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Willing to travel
Full valid UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience or certification
Defence background would be an advantage
Knowledge/experience in using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP system in a manufacturing environment
Lead Audit trained UKAS Certified (Internal/External)
Electrical /Electronics manufacturing background
