About the role:



The postholder will work within the Quality team and lead on improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. They will share good practice, conduct lesson observations and lead a team of Learning Coaches across all campuses to observe and mentor lecturers. The post holder is responsible for researching and identifying relevant CPD needs as well as planning and delivering CPD to academic staff. The postholder is further responsible for preparing data and reports on the Quality of Education for the college Governors and SMT.


Key Responsibilities:




Leadership and Management




Inspire excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment by leading through example and motivating staff and students. Manage Learning Coaches, promote the College's vision and values, and ensure compliance with equality and health & safety policies.

Teaching, Learning and Assessment




Lead the development of high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning, embedding essential skills and promoting innovation. Support staff through mentoring, planning, induction, and peer coaching to ensure consistent and engaging student experiences.

Quality and Standards




Implement and support Quality Improvement Plans to enhance retention, achievement, and progression. Lead audits, observations, and feedback processes to maintain rigorous standards and improve student outcomes.

Staff Learning and Development




Stay current with educational trends and frameworks to enhance teaching practice and staff development. Identify and support staff CPD needs through training plans, external opportunities, and professional development events.

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:




Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject Qualified Teacher at Level 5 or above (Level 7 desirable) Evidence of commitment to professional development A good standard of Maths and English Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
