The Quality Inspector will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspection of components and assemblies using precision measurement equipment, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Alongside hands-on inspection, you'll contribute to documentation and quality control processes supporting PPAP submissions, IMDS compliance and ISO9001 quality standards.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
Perform inspections of machined and assembled components
Use latest precision Sylvac measurement tools (Roamer arm, verniers, micrometres, gauges etc.) to verify dimensional accuracy
Use Keyence image dimensional measurement system
Complete and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance records, and quality documentation
Support PPAP documentation and sample submission for customer projects
Assist with IMDS data entry, and material compliance records
Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues
Participate in root cause analysis and support implementation of corrective actions
Contribute to maintaining and improving the ISO9001 Quality Management System
Manage calibration and maintenance of inspection and measurement equipment
Coordinate and work closely with ATEC Germany Inspection team
3. Requirements
Essential
Experience in precision engineering, automotive, or motorsport manufacturing
Strong inspection experience with a good understanding of engineering drawings
Familiarity with PPAP and IMDS processes
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient user of Microsoft packages and other IT software
Desirable
Experience working within and to IATF16949 standards
Degree qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline
Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles with practical application in a manufacturing or quality environment
