Role Description



We are seeking a full-time, on-site Quality Inspector working the night shift to join our team at our Farnworth location. In this role, you will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

Duties:



Ensure all activities and actions are in-line with Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements and regulations, maintaining a safe, 5s and clean work area. Provide technical support and liaison between quality, engineering and production departments. Ensure priority lists are worked to, to satisfy production/customer deadlines. Conduct First-off, in-process, sub-con and Final Inspections, utilising various inspection method(s) as required: this may include visual, hand-held equipment, 1st principle, CMM, new technologies. Verify drawing, specifications and inspection program versions align with the batch card version. Ensure Product is free of Foreign Object Debris and Foreign Object Damage [FOD], working within the requirements of the FOD program Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated, and the inspection is conducted per the batch card, inspection SOP requirements, booking the applicable operations, applying batch card disciplines. Confirm processes and the batch card are correctly completed and, applicable concessions and the DR / NCR process, as necessary, are correctly applied. When required, confirm only approved parts and materials have been used, check the batch card against material certificates and ensure records are complete. Confirm identification marks are legible and conform to the drawing requirements. As needed, raise and complete Deviation Reports, using appropriate feature over-check methods. When necessary, raise nonconformance reports, liaise with departments to support investigations. Completing Inspection records and Inspection reports as necessary Be an authorised stamp holder. Assist with Quality investigations and improvement activities. Ensure an effective handover is carried out at the beginning / end of each shift, assuring that good Quality related information is communicated. Maintain working relationships with colleagues by adopting suitable behaviour and setting high personal standards, which assist to persuade and promote performance from all the team. Represent the Business in a professional and ethical manner.

Qualifications



Experienced in Inspection techniques and processes Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating data and identifying improvements Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards Good communication and teamwork skills Previous experience in precision engineering or a related field is advantageous Relevant certifications in quality assurance or inspection are a plus
