About our opportunity





Are you passionate about quality control and looking to make a tangible impact in the recycling industry? Join EMR as a Quality Inspector and drive the quality of our incoming scrap feed through effective inspection and accurate recording. Your efforts will play a key role in our continuous improvement process.


Shift: 06:00 - 15:30






What you will be doing



Accurately grade incoming and outgoing scrap deliveries to EMR standards. Identify and separate non-conforming materials. To operate machinery (training provided) as and when required. Direct customers and traffic to the correct scrap heaps. Manage safe and efficient movement of traffic on site. Document evidence of non-conforming materials and apply associated penalties. Prevent SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) related incidents through effective monitoring. Identify opportunities to upgrade materials to maximize profits. Deliver against business KPIs, including safety and daily scrap quality metrics. Regularly consult with key stakeholders regarding scrap quality. Educate stakeholders on scrap inspection policies, procedures, and the importance of inspections. Assist with training new starters and colleagues on material grading as required. Monitor customers on site to ensure adherence to site rules.



About you



Experience/Qualifications/Skills:




To operate machinery (training provided) as and when required. Experience following key process flows and explaining their reasons and consequences. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; builds rapport based on trust and mutual respect. Exceptional customer service abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities autonomously. Excellent attention to detail. Capability to interpret large amounts of data. Proficiency with IT for information collection and analysis. IOSH Supervising Safely Qualification. Banksman Certificate.

Special Requirements:




Frequent physical exertion, including walking long distances across uneven ground, standing, moving small pieces of scrap, stooping, etc. Primarily outdoor tasks with exposure to inclement weather, moving machinery, loud noise, etc.
