The Role:



As a Quality Inspector for BLK BOX, you will perform various inspection techniques on components and assemblies through all stages of our process, ensuring full conformance to our quality standards and specifications. You will document and communicate inspection results, working as part of a cross functional team to help drive improvements throughout the manufacturing process.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent organisational and communication skills, have a pro-active, hands-on approach, have a continuous improvement mindset, and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:



Quality Assurance



Conduct Visual and Dimensional Inspections

: Inspect mechanical components and assemblies at various stages of production using drawings, specifications, and checklists.

Verify Compliance to Specifications

: Ensure assembled components meet quality standards, engineering drawings, and customer requirements.

Document Inspection Results

: Accurately complete inspection reports, checklists, and non-conformance records as required.

Identify and Report Defects

: Detect and document non-conformities and communicate findings to Production supervisors and quality management.

Perform Assembly and Rework Tasks

: Carry out minor assembly or rework activities to correct defects or bring assemblies into compliance, following established procedures.

Support Root Cause Analysis

: Assist in investigating quality issues and identifying root causes for process improvement.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams

: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.

Assist in Continuous Improvement Initiatives

: Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance product quality and reduce defects.

The Ideal Candidate:



Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality role Able to read and interpret engineering drawings Excellent organizational skills Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, productivity and work accurately under pressure Able to work independently in a team environment. Able to communicate effectively

Desirable Criteria:



Working experience and knowledge of ISO 9001 Auditing experience Welding inspection experience Powder coating and/or painting experience
