Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to support daily quality operations within a busy precision machine shop. You will perform manual inspections using a range of measuring tools to verify component accuracy and maintain rigorous process standards. This position does not involve CMM inspection and suits candidates confident with manual gauges and dimensional verification.

Responsibilities

Carry out First Off and in-process batch inspections to confirm components meet engineering drawings and tolerances. Use manual measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and surface measurement equipment. Conduct visual and dimensional inspection throughout production and at final release stages. Record results accurately and report non-conformances to the Quality Manager. Support internal audits and assist in corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve inspection processes

Qualifications

Proven experience in dimensional inspection of tight-tolerance components (turned and milled). Proficient with manual measuring instruments, micrometers, gauges, calipers etc. Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings. Understanding of quality management systems (e.g. AS9100 or ISO 9001). Strong communication and reporting skills. Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
