DME is a growing company based in South Shields where we have a design and manufacturing premises. Our work is based around the marine and offshore sector providing bespoke equipment (back-deck and subsea control systems) to industry leading operators.
We are looking for support within the Operations team to improve Project Quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Quality within the Oil and Gas/Subsea industries.
Responsibilities
Conduct supplier visits inspections to ensure parts and assemblies are carried out to specifications and drawings.
Technical review of material certification and traceability, welding/NDT records, dimensional records etc.
Review schedule at vendors for expediting purposes and report to Projects.
In-house quality inspection and HSE compliance
Manage and report internal and external NCR's
Create and review project Quality Plans and supplier ITP's
Conduct Internal and Supplier Audits
Conduct and provide support for internal and external Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Role Requirements
Minimum 5 years relevant experience within a similar industry sector.
HNC qualified within engineering/quality or strong mechanical background
Experience working within Supply Chain conducting verification activities
Experience of Quality Management of an ISO9001 accredited company (preferable)
Full UK driving licence (essential)
UK and International travel as required
Broad Understanding of Quality tools & techniques
Knowledge of Welding and NDT procedures/processes (ASME/ASTM/AWS/ISO) (CSWIP Level II Weld Inspection preferable)
Knowledge of painting systems.
Internal / External Auditor qualified (preferable)
HSE exposure advantageous
Strong communication and IT skills
Strong report writing and problem-solving skills.
