Job Description

Northwood Consuma Tissue (NCT) Ltd are established in their field for more than 40 years, making retailers household products. NCT main site is just outside Grantham and Ellesmere Port has joined the 'family'.

We require a Quality Manager to join the team to oversee the product quality ensuring best technical standards are maintained in the factory and communication of technical and quality throughout the departments. Ensure we meet and exceed the customers' expectations.

Main duties of the role:



To manage the site shift QA team ensuring effective training is always in place, that standard checks & procedures are followed at all times and that our agreed customer specifications are always achieved. To manage, coach and develop the team, ensuring compliance to company quality, safety, and personnel policies. When needed to manage any performance issues within the team. HACCP team member RSPO Lead Champion FSC Lead Champion Facilitate and run external accreditation audits Improvement opportunities Maintain and trend internal quality checks, investigating any red issues highlighted and implementing corrective actions. To ensure resolving any non-conformances raised in any audits. An active member of the site audit team who also advises wider site teams on GMP improvements. Ensure all equipment are captured and within calibration. Including facilitating of onsite calibrations GMP coaching of all operatives on the factory floor As appropriate to write new & develop existing work instructions for the immediate and wider site teams. Onsite technical team subject matter expert for metal detection. A member of the NCT traceability team, business continuity team and customer audit team. Control of the management of non-conforming products, taking ownership for internal NCR's. Including actions taken post reviews Compliance to customer codes of practices within the factory Identify and rectify product quality issues, providing continual business improvement Compliance and enforcement of all procedures and customer codes of practice within the business Conduct training when required and to ensure compliance Assist production with GMP issues Artwork sign off member for the technical team Ensure you actively encourage others to comply Highlight and assist production to improve factory standards and quality aims Prepare and ensure compliance for all audits undertaken Review of overall data from systems Actively involved in close out of non-conformances from external audits that are carried out To lead Technical / QA communications preparing cell briefs, updating noticeboards and generating weekly information for the SMT meetings. To proactively work with the wider team to implement continual improvement and cost reduction initiatives across our business.

Qualifications and Experience



HACCP level 3 is preferred. Proficiency at Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel is essential. Preferable - 5-years manufacturing experience within a technical area. Experience working in the manufacturing or paper converting industry is preferred but not essential. Internal auditing experience. Knowledge of specifications and customer portals is preferred but not essential, as training will be given. Understanding of BRC and Customer Codes of practice. Training experience is preferred but not essential.

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
