Overview;


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our team. As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.

Primary Purpose of the Position



Overall responsibility to lead the quality function of the business, ensuring conformance of product, compliance with applicable regulatory and customer specific standards and continual improvement of business performance.

Secondary Purpose of the Position



To support the business operational and functional teams in the successful achievement of their objectives

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:



1. Approvals



Maintain approvals across industry standard certifications and key customers as required, including AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, NADCAP (NDT), R-R SABRE, R-R GS3001.

2. Auditing



Ensure a robust internal audit schedule is in place and adhered to Ensure audits are conducted in line with best practices and any non-conformance is closed out within a timely manner. Ensure all external audits are organised effectively and conducted efficiently.

3. People



Authorisation and management of the teams holidays and absence's in line with company requirements. Ensure that their team members are suitably trained and skilled to carry out the activities required, managed through a training matrix. Maintain an annual appraisal process for all direct reports

4. Continuous Improvement



Ensure the Quality Management System is kept under continuous review and that all opportunities for improvement are reviewed and implemented where required.

5. Quality Control



Ensure robust quality controls are implemented and followed at all points during the manufacturing process and that they are aligned to our customer's and regulatory requirements Ensure accurate recording and resolution of any customer complaints as they arise. Employ robust quality tools to investigate, correct and prevent non-conformance.

6. Owner of business KPI's



Ensure that the business KPI's are aligned with the Quality Management system The company KPI's are produced in a timely manner for management review.

Working Hours;

0830-1730 Mon-Thu, 0830-1500 Fri, 40 hours per week Expectation that additional hours will work as required to support business needs.

Essential qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and competencies;

Has a precision engineering background, ideally within the Defence, Aerospace and/or nuclear industry Minimum 5 years experience in a Quality Management role Demonstrable experience in Quality Control and Assurance disciplines Familiar with ISO9001, 14001, 45001, NADCAP and AS9100 accreditation requirements Excellent communication skills, ability to nurture internal and external relationships Familiar with Nuclear Industry LTQR requirements First Article Inspection to AS9102 Internal Auditing Qualification Trained in the use of applicable Quality Tools Able to interpret drawings and specifications and understand First Principal measurement

Desirable qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills & competencies:

Knowledge of Source Change control Industry specific customer requirements Auditing qualification (esp. Lead Auditor) Lean manufacturing / Lean Six Sigma qualified Familiar with use of gauging and manual inspection methods, including visual inspection Knowledge of NDT techniques, especially Fluorescent Particle Inspection

Other Relevant Information:

Willing and able to perform all other duties deemed necessary by the business Able to work within a structured Team environment but with ability to identify, support and implement improvements Willing to work additional hours when required. Full-time, Permanent Salary: From 60,000.00 per year
