Role Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented
Quality Controller
to support and maintain quality assurance across our manufacturing operations. This is a
hands-on, on-site role
, ideal for individuals based locally who are passionate about quality, process improvement, and practical problem-solving.
Please note: Due to the nature of this position, we are only considering candidates who are already living within daily commuting distance of our site near Exeter.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality procedures to ensure compliance and consistency in manufacturing.
Process Monitoring:
Identify and assist in improvements to production processes, helping reduce defects and improve product reliability.
Testing & Inspection:
Perform routine product and material testing, collect data, and identify any quality issues.
Problem Solving:
Assist in root cause investigations and support corrective/preventive action implementation.
Compliance:
Help ensure products meet internal standards and external regulations, including ISO 9001.
Team Collaboration:
Work alongside Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to maintain high-quality output.
Documentation:
Maintain clear records for audits, inspections, and internal reporting.
Customer Support:
Provide technical input when investigating and resolving customer quality concerns.
What We're Looking For
A degree or qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a technical discipline (Chemical or Materials Science desirable).
Open to recent graduates or individuals with relevant experience in a manufacturing or quality role.
Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001.
Knowledge of quality tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Must live within commuting distance of our facility (relocation not offered for this role).
