Quality Team Leader | Salary of 29,725 | Days only | Chichester
We're looking for an experienced Quality Team Leader to join our team at our Merston site in Chichester. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind food safety, legal compliance, and product quality standards, ensuring our products are the very best in fresh food manufacturing.
You'll work closely with colleagues, customers, and suppliers at all levels to deliver safe, high-quality products every time. With a focus on leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, you'll have the freedom to make your mark and help shape our reputation as the best at fresh.
Shift Pattern
We operate a day's only shift pattern covering 7am to 7pm covering days. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically, you would be working as follows:

Responsibilities
Developing and coaching a high performing team with full appraisal and reviewing responsibility.
Ensure technical food safety, quality standards and customer COP's are implemented and adhered to in the factory
Non-conformance management and investigation, including Root Cause Analysis
EPW/Trace exercises and investigation
Providing and developing KPI and performance reporting
Management and preparation for Customer audits
Management of invoicing and site budget reconciliation
Maintains Factory technical and quality standards / KPIs
Management of internal audits and QA systems
Validation and verification of new and current processes
Management and reporting of site DQA
Customer Complaint Investigation
Create reports and analysis of data to report internally and to customers
Lead teams and initiatives to deliver performance improvement
Management of pest control
Control, management and calibration of Equipment
Requirements
QA or similar experience working within the food industry, ideally experience in short shelf-life products
Food safety Level 2
HACCP
Basic understanding of Microbiology
Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Food Safety compliance
Working knowledge of Auditing techniques
Computer literate, good oral and written communication skill
