The Role

As a

Quality Technologist

, you will be a key part of the M&S Floral Technical Team, working closely with the Senior Technologist and engaging directly with suppliers, growers, and MM Flowers colleagues. This is a field-focused role where you'll spend time at supplier sites, assessing product quality, solving issues, and ensuring compliance with M&S safety, quality, and legal standards.

This role is perfect for someone who loves being out in the field, thrives on relationship-building, and has a real passion for driving quality improvements from the ground up.

What You'll Be Doing, Supplier & Site Engagement

Conduct independent, regular onsite visits to growers and suppliers to assess product quality and compliance. Build strong working relationships with supplier teams, acting as a trusted technical contact. Support MM Technical Teams with M&S-specific requirements and technical queries.

Issue Resolution & Compliance

Identify quality issues at source and work with growers to implement effective corrective actions. Support field-level governance, ensuring all operations meet MM Flowers and M&S expectations. Drive quality improvement projects (QIPs) with clear actions and measurable outcomes. Assist with FIND specification management to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Quality Monitoring & Analysis

Use field observations, supplier data, and store feedback to monitor trends and identify opportunities. Collaborate with growers to deliver targeted quality improvement plans. Coordinate and share regular crop reports.

Peak Floral Event Support

Be onsite during key events (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter), ensuring flawless execution and product quality.

Administrative & Ad Hoc Support

Assist with supplier system access, documentation, and general technical support tasks.
