Quantity Surveyor

to join our team and manage the commercial aspects of our projects from tender to final account.

Key Responsibilities

Price and scope new domestic and commercial projects

, ensuring accurate and competitive costings. Produce

detailed estimates, cost plans, and tender submissions

for projects ranging from 5k-250k. Conduct

site visits

for take-offs, measurement, and assessment of variations. Manage the

procurement process

including subcontractor and supplier negotiations. Oversee

project budgets

, monitor cost performance, and identify value engineering opportunities. Assist in the

preparation and agreement of interim valuations, final accounts, and variations

. Work closely with the operations team to ensure

projects stay within budget and programme

. Maintain clear and up-to-date

commercial records and documentation

. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with

building regulations and contractual obligations

.

Requirements

3+ years' experience

as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within domestic construction. Good understanding of

UK building regulations, pricing methods

, and

construction contracts

(e.g., JCT). Experience working on

domestic projects

such as extensions, renovations, and refurbishments. Some exposure to

commercial works

(e.g., offices, shops, small fit-outs) is a plus. Ability to work independently, manage multiple jobs, and communicate clearly with clients and contractors. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Estimating packages). Full UK driving licence -

site travel required
