Birmingham (office-based with site responsibilities)

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of demolition and civil engineering projects. You will take ownership of commercial and project coordination duties, working from contract award through to final account. This is a client-facing role with responsibility for cost control, subcontractor management, and contractual compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and provide advice on contract terms and commercial documentation
Manage interim valuations, cost value reconciliations, and final accounts
Prepare and issue subcontract packages, terms, and orders
Monitor and authorise subcontract payments and variations
Coordinate with site teams for project delivery and documentation
Attend project meetings and liaise with stakeholders
Track project costs, manage risks, and assist in dispute resolution if needed
Assist with pre-commencement notifications and statutory service coordination
Prepare and update programme of works and site pack documentation
Support estimating and business development teams with commercial input
What We're Looking For:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction subject
Proven experience in a similar QS role within construction or demolition
Excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Valid UK driving licence
