Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chartered or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial viability of construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, cost control methodologies, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties

Prepare and manage cost estimates for construction projects from inception to completion. Conduct feasibility studies to assess project viability and financial implications. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial constraints. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate cost assessments. Prepare tender documents, contracts, and procurement schedules. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with project specifications. Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes as they arise. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects.

Skills

Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and methodologies within the construction industry. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools for cost estimation and management. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and stakeholders. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred; relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 50,000.00-65,000.00 per year
