Role Summary:

As the On-Site Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of groundworks packages on active construction sites. You'll work closely with the Project Manager, Site Team, and Commercial Director to ensure accurate cost control, valuations, and efficient procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of the groundworks package

Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts

Conduct site measurements and maintain accurate cost tracking

Liaise with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors

Prepare and issue subcontractor orders and manage payments

Support procurement and manage material costs

Identify and manage risks and opportunities on-site

Report regularly to senior management on cost forecasts and budgets

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience as a QS in groundworks or civil engineering

HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or related field

Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QS software (e.g., Causeway, COINS, or similar)

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a site team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 330.00 per day

Work Location: In person
