Quantity Surveyor - Interior Fit-out

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team specialising in High end Bespoke Joinery interior fit-out projects. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our projects by effectively managing costs, negotiating contracts, and identifying opportunities for commercial advantage.


Key Responsibilities

Cost Management and Control:+ Prepare accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out projects at various stages, from initial concept to detailed design + Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring all costs are accounted for and properly allocated
+ Monitor and report on project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying potential overruns and proposing mitigation strategies
+ Implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget constraints
+ Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts to optimize project finances

Procurement and Contract Management:+ Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract conditions + Evaluate and analyze tender submissions, providing recommendations for supplier and subcontractor selection
+ Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimal commercial terms
+ Administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions
+ Manage variations and claims, assessing their validity and negotiating fair settlements

Financial Reporting and Analysis:+ Prepare regular cost reports for internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting key financial metrics and trends + Conduct value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or design intent
+ Analyze project profitability and contribute to post-project reviews to improve future performance
+ Develop and maintain cost databases to support accurate estimating and benchmarking

Risk Management:+ Identify and assess potential financial risks associated with interior fit-out projects + Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure
+ Monitor and report on risk status throughout the project lifecycle

Stakeholder Management: + Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure alignment on project objectives and financial goals + Provide expert advice on commercial and contractual matters to internal stakeholders
+ Liaise with clients and their representatives to address financial queries and resolve disputes
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support effective negotiations and project delivery
