Quantity Surveyor

Inspired Projects are a forward-thinking commercial design and fit-out contractor seeking to expand our small team to support the delivery of our significant project pipeline and revenue growth. This is a permanent, full-time role of 40 hours per week, based in our Manchester office. This role reports to our Senior QS and would suit someone with experience of working within the construction sector in the UK looking to make a tangible impact in a small company with bigger aspirations.

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with relevant experience associated to multi-discipline fit-out projects up to 800k. You must be able to work to tight deadlines independently, supporting the delivery team to install projects within schedule and specification. It is important that you have experience of working with contractors in the UK and have a clear understanding of the contract and variation process. Our sites are frequently a part of residential buildings under continuing tenant use, so it would be of benefit to have experience operating in live client environments.

We have recently invested in management software to support a period of significant growth expected in 2025/6. The role will utilise ProCore's estimating software to prepare BoQs, perform take-off exercises and complete tender submissions. Experience of this software or something similar will be a significant advantage.

The role requires a confident attitude towards communication, as the role will support the company to receive quotations from subcontractors and may take part in negotiations.

Role based responsibilities:

Production of quotes

Take-off exercises and measurement activities

Procurement of supply chain quotes and orders to reflect the scope of works

Ensuring the best available value in line with company quality, environmental and H&S goals

Building strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors

Producing reports for internal stakeholders

Technically competent with proven, demonstrable experience

Essential:

Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar

Experience of ProCore Software, Bluebeam or similar estimating software

Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

Driving Licence

Desirable:

MRICS or similar

Experience in a QS role in a fit-out or construction setting

Sage 50 Accounts experience

Salary is competitive and dependent on experience and certification.
