Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - Bricklaying

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our growing bricklaying team here in Somerset.

This role's all about helping us price, manage, and deliver our brickwork projects, while also playing a key part in helping the business grow. We're after someone who knows their brickwork, understands costs, and enjoys working closely with site teams and clients to get the best results.

What You'll Be Doing

Preparing take-offs, estimates, and budgets for brickwork packages. Tracking project costs and helping us stay on top of budgets and margins. Helping put together tenders and quotes for new work. Working closely with builders, site managers, and clients to keep projects running smoothly. Identifying ways to improve efficiency and profitability. Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts. Building relationships and spotting opportunities to bring in new work.

What We're Looking For

Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator, ideally within bricklaying or construction. Strong understanding of brickwork construction, labour rates, and materials. Comfortable using estimating/take-off software (CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam, etc.). Good communication skills -- confident dealing with clients and site teams. Proactive, ambitious, and reliable, with a genuine interest in helping grow the business. Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying (or relevant experience).
