Job Overview

We're a civil engineering and groundworks contractor working with major housebuilders across the region. Our work covers roads, sewers, and plot foundations.

We're looking for an experienced

Quantity Surveyor

. You'll ensure that the financial side of our road, sewer, and plot works is well controlled, accurately reported, and delivers value for money.

Main Responsibilities

Track and control project spend to keep within agreed budgets. Carry out regular site visits to check progress and confirm work matches drawings and specifications. Work closely with site managers, engineers, and contractors to solve problems and keep projects moving. Review and negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Report regularly to Directors with cost updates, forecasts, and any issues. Keep clear and accurate records of all costs, valuations, and variations.

Skills and Experience

Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant site-based experience. Strong background in quantity surveying or cost control within civil engineering or groundworks. Good understanding of roads, sewers, drainage, and plot works. Confident with budgets, valuations, and cost reporting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills and a practical approach to working with site teams. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: 35,000.00-60,000.00 per year
