Quantity Surveyor - Specialist Waterproofing

Salary:

50,000 - 60,000 DOE

We're looking for a commercially sharp Quantity Surveyor with experience in waterproofing, basement/tanking systems, structural repairs, or other niche construction packages to join a long-established specialist contractor operating across infrastructure, civil engineering, and major build projects.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing commercial activities across multiple projects, ranging from new build developments to refurbishment schemes, ensuring profitability, compliance, and smooth delivery from pre-contract through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, submit, and negotiate valuations, applications, and variations. Take-offs and measurement from drawings/specifications for waterproofing packages. Produce cost plans, budgets, and cashflow forecasts. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations; issue and manage orders. Support tender submissions and provide pricing for new opportunities. Monitor site progress, liaise with project managers and site teams, and identify any commercial risks or opportunities. Prepare monthly CVRs and internal cost reports. Lead final account settlement with clients and supply chain partners.

What We're Looking For

Experience as a QS within

waterproofing, structural protection, RC frames, groundworks or specialist trade environments

. Strong understanding of NEC or JCT contracts. Confident in measurement, procurement, and commercial reporting. Able to work independently and manage multiple live projects. Good communicator with both site and commercial teams.
