We are a trusted and growing main contractor delivering a wide range of high-quality construction, fit-out, and refurbishment projects across the commercial, education, and retail sectors. We also undertake domestic works on behalf of local authorities and housing providers, though this role will focus solely on commercial and public-sector projects and will not involve any residential/domestic schemes.
Our portfolio includes Cat A and Cat B fit-outs, school refurbishments, office redevelopments, and retail unit upgrades. With a strong pipeline of secured works, we are looking to expand our commercial team with the appointment of an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
The Role
The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing the commercial delivery of multiple live projects. You'll work closely with our project managers and supply chain to ensure cost-effective outcomes, while maintaining quality and contractual compliance throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing budgets, cost plans, and tender submissions
Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
Administering contracts (primarily JCT) and identifying variations
Preparing interim and final accounts
Monitoring and reporting on project costs and profitability
Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams to support successful project delivery
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role
Proven track record in Cat A / Cat B fit-outs and refurbishment projects
Experience across commercial, education, and/or retail sectors
Working knowledge of JCT contracts
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Strong communication and organisational abilities
Full UK driving licence - travel to sites may be required
