Job Summary


We are seeking a

Quantum Engineer

to drive the development of next-generation quantum applications and contribute to shaping the future of quantum computing. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge research, applied engineering, and real-world problem solving, in close collaboration with both academic and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities



Design, develop, and test

experimental quantum algorithms and applications across a variety of domains.

Benchmark performance

of quantum solutions on diverse use cases, delivering clear insights into their strengths and limitations.

Evaluate emerging hardware platforms

, identifying and leveraging unique features to build impactful solutions.

Communicate research and engineering outcomes

effectively through presentations, technical reports, and discussions with team members, collaborators, and external stakeholders.

Collaborate widely

, working with a network of academic institutions, industrial partners, and cross-disciplinary teams.

Engage the wider quantum community

by contributing to conferences, workshops, and technical demonstrations.

Essential Skills & Experience



Strong programming expertise in

Python

. Deep understanding of

algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity

. Proven ability to

apply engineering principles

to solve complex technical challenges. Hands-on experience in

developing quantum solutions

(academic or industry setting). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to

translate complex concepts clearly

. Track record of working both

independently and collaboratively

within research or engineering teams. A growth mindset with the capacity to

lead initiatives as well as contribute as a team member

.
Desirable Skills & Experience:

Knowledge of AI/

machine learning methods

. Familiarity with

Quantum Optimisation, Quantum Simulation, and algorithm benchmarking

. Practical experience deploying solutions on

multiple quantum hardware platforms

. Awareness of

software engineering best practices

, including version control, unit testing, and collaborative development workflows. Experience in a

technical role within industry or start-up environments

. Application domain knowledge in areas such as

cybersecurity, finance, healthcare, or energy

.
