We're Hiring - Quarry Manager

Clee Hill Quarry, Ludlow

Salary:

42,000 - 48,000 + Company 4x4

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our valued client, MidlandQuarryProducts, for an experienced QuarryManager to lead operations at their CleeHillQuarry, one of their key strategic sites.

This role is offered on an

initial 3-month

probationarybasis, with the opportunity--upon successful completion--to transition to a full

time position directly with Heidelberg Materials, a global leader in construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety

Champion a culture of safety-first, aligned with Heidelberg Materials' Health & Safety Plan. Implement and evolve a continuous improvement plan to exceed safety target

Environmental Leadership

Operate to the highest environmental standards in line with our Environmental Management Plan. Drive sustainability and compliance across all site activities.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure full adherence to statutory legislation and company policies across all operations.

Operational Excellence

Achieve optimal production levels at the lowest operational cost. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency.

Distribution & Customer Service

Collaborate with logistics to ensure high service levels and cost-effective delivery.

Quality Assurance

Partner with technical teams to maintain top-tier product quality at efficient cost.

Business Analysis

Work with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate, actionable data informs decision-making and drives profitability.

Leadership & Development:

o Resource Planning:

Ensure the site is well-resourced and team members are trained, developed, and empowered.

o Team Direction:

Set clear goals, provide strong leadership, and foster a high-performance culture.

o Control & Oversight:

Maintain robust controls across safety, environment, capital expenditure, and operational spend.

What you'll bring:

Proven experience in quarry or heavy industrial operations management Strong leadership and people development skills A proactive, improvement-focused mindset Commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence NVQ Level 4 in SHE quarry operations.
