Job Description

Located in One Elmwood Student Centre and Students' Union and reporting to the Operations and Events Management team, this role provides key operational support within the Students' Union (QSU) spaces. Required to deliver a coordinated, efficient and effective service for our students and staff and visitors, the post holder will be responsible for all aspects of QSU front and back of house operations including room/event set up, housekeeping, operational and technical support, health and safety and risk assessment.
About the person:
The successful candidate will have:

  • 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include English Language and a Mathematical based subject or NVQ Level 2 Administration or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years previous work experience in a busy customer focused/front of house environment.
  • Applicants without the relevant minimum qualification but can demonstrate 3 years recent experience in a relevant field.
  • IT literacy and ability to use computer packages relevant to area of work including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business including irregular shift patterns (a shift allowance will be paid if applicable).
