An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Radiocoms team. This role is a flexible role in a fast-paced environment supporting officers and staff with the Forces radio infrastructure and bespoke equipment for the forces control rooms. Alongside this, we also support operations at festivals & Events to provide technical solutions, knowledge and guidance. In this role you will undertake the day-to-day operations and control of aspects of the Force's radio communications infrastructure making sure our officers have a working technology and equipment.
You will be required to work alongside other teams in Hampshire Constabulary & Thames Valley Police so no two days are the same.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of Radio hardware and software to fulfil business requirements and for problem resolution (within the ITIL model).
Full training will be given to the right candidate who is willing to learn new areas of ICT technology.
The essentials
Good communication skills at all levels able to simplify technical jargon
1st or 2nd line support experience
Experience in DHCP, DNS, IP, LTE
Basic understanding of Radio communication
Must have capability to travel regionally to various locations and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. For this reason, a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
Short notice working, unsocial hour's maybe required with little notice to staying away.
