Role Purpose



As the Radiology Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management, and strategic development of the radiology department. You will provide leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centred services.

Key Responsibilities



Lead by example to deliver highest quality of medical imaging. Provide expert advice and guidance to the clinical radiology team. Oversee the development and implementation of protocols and guidelines. Ensure adherence to best practice standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Operational Management:



Manage the day-to-day operations of the department, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation. Monitor and optimise workflow processes to ensure efficient service delivery. Maintain the current excellent relationship with the consultant radiologist team. Oversee the maintenance and quality assurance of imaging equipment. Manage the dosimetry badges Manage the department's budget and financial performance. Cover rota gaps on the radiographer rotas.

Team Leadership:



Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of radiographers and other staff. Foster a positive and supportive work environment. Provide effective leadership and mentorship to team members.

Strategic Development:



Contribute to the development of the department's strategic plan. Identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation. Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care pathways.
