Overview


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Rail Planner to join our rail operations team. This role involves the planning and delivery of Safe Work Packs and track access --while also providing occasional on-site support during rail shifts to ensure plans are effectively implemented. This role will be remote however occasional travel to head office in Telford.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a good understanding of rail industry standards, and the flexibility to support both planning and operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan and deliver SWPs and track access in support of site activities including for new projects Book suitable project track access to meet project deadlines Attend possession planning & PICOP meetings as & when required Attend Network Rail white board meetings Identify efficiencies for site and office workflows and support the take up of these Check over returned SWPs suitable for track access Produce task briefs and work package plans to meet audit requirements, addressing any required amendments or actions. Support admin team as and when required Provide support, training & mentoring on returned SWPs

Person Specification:



Experience in a rail planning or possession planning Knowledge of Network Rail standards and access planning procedures. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Willingness to support rail shifts during weekends or nights on a rota or ad hoc basis SSOWP ticket COSS ticket however a PC and or an ES ticket would be desirable Driving License
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 50,000.00-60,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
