Raw Materials Controller



Purpose of Position:



The main responsibility is the accurate recording of all raw material intakes into the factory, the timely processing of returns for all raw materials to the suppliers and the Marine authorities and all internal reporting and reconciliations required for the Mintlaw and Stornoway sites to provide an accurate summary of raw material intake.

Working closely with the procurement team and other business functions to produce data analysis and reports on procurement data on a weekly and monthly basis.

Duties and Responsibilities (Accountabilities)



Process returns for all raw material. Ensuring that they are sent back to the supplier in a timely manner. It is vital that there are sufficient checks in place to ensure the accuracy of this in terms of kilogrammes returned and prices paid;

Ensure all follow up documents, e-mails, including loan repayment spreadsheets are up to date;

Dealing with any supplier enquiries in a professional and timely manner, escalating to the appropriate managers if required;

Ensure MMO compliance , reporting sales value of all intake on a timely basis,

Maintain a full log of all returns to provide a data base which will be used for reconciling purchases to the financial ledgers, computing average purchase prices and for ad hoc reporting to management of raw material intake;

Assist with the valuation of raw material/finished goods stocks by providing average purchase price data;

Completion and management of weekly procurement reporting,

Working with the Senior Business Analyst to develop daily/weekly/monthly supplier reports for all key species

. Providing average prawn pricing reports and preparing landing summaries,

Liaise closely with the team to ensure all purchase invoice discrepancies are followed up timeously.

Working with the Commercial and Procurement to develop reports, data analysis and supplier information as required

Assist Technical with the reporting and submission of catch certificates on required sales.
Assist the wider finance team when required,

Carry out additional ad hoc finance-related tasks as required,

Assist with the annual external audits (interim and final) with deliverables and queries,

Assist with the telephone switchboard, mailing, assisting Company visitors, and other general administration duties.

Experience in a finance, or transactional account's role,

Familiarity with SAGE or other finance systems,

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools,

Knowledge of accounts processes is desirable, but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
