Atlas NextWave is looking for candidates to work as R&D Project Manager - Additive Manufacturing with one of the clients of the office in Bristol, United Kingdom. It's a temporary position in United Kingdom. Do you have the necessary experience?
Support the delivery of additive manufacturing (AM) technology development projects by providing structured project management, coordination and financial oversight. Work closely with engineering, operations and suppliers to keep activities aligned, documented and progressing as planned. The role involves managing global R&D activities and coordinating resources across sites in the UK, Germany and Sweden to ensure seamless execution.
Job description Project Coordination and Planning

  • Maintain project schedules, task lists and short term plans.
  • Coordinate work across engineering, operations and external partners, including teams located in the UK, Germany and Sweden.
  • Run regular project check ins, track actions and maintain clear status updates.
Financial Tracking
  • Monitor budget, track spend and maintain project forecasts.
  • Flag financial risks early and support corrective actions.
Risk, Issues and Change Control
  • Maintain risk, issue and decision logs with clear owners.
  • Track scope, timing or cost changes and ensure correct approvals.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Keep project files, deliverable trackers and decision logs up to date.
  • Prepare concise review packs for internal or customer discussions.
  • Document outcomes and lessons learned at project close.
Job requirements Essential Experience
  • 3+ years project management experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • Confident managing plans, risks, budgets and multidisciplinary workstreams.
  • Able to convert technical progress into clear, structured updates.
  • Comfortable using digital project tools (Excel, Planner, MS Project, etc.).
Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to additive manufacturing.
  • Experience coordinating trials or technical evaluations.
Personal Qualities
  • Organised, proactive and delivery focused.
  • Strong communicator who keeps people aligned.
  • Able to simplify complexity and maintain momentum.
